This was a great opportunity to meet other coaches from around the country and other classes and to learn about what is new in the coaching world as we start to turn focus towards the 2024/25 winter training season.
In our training sessions, we used RS 21 sailboats, offering a unique platform to evaluate teamwork and explore how to tailor training programs to athletes with varying levels of experience. In addition, we discussed new techniques and strategies that can be incorporated into our coaching toolkit, ensuring a more personalized and effective approach to training.
A particularly valuable component of the program was the in-depth coverage of safety management. This aspect not only enhanced our understanding of risk assessment but also equipped us with practical skills for managing 'what if' scenarios.
The weekend provided valuable insights into teamwork, individualized training techniques, and advanced safety management, all essential for preparing coaches for the 2024/25 winter training season.
